Constructed from printed images found on the Internet, and tape. 14 x 20 inches.
Gifts for the Gifted proposal: Instructions:
1. Buy four baskets in London, the funnier looking and cheaper the better.
2. Choose 4 artists that are going to participate in the said exhibition and ask them to fill out this survey (the survey is a list of questions about tastes, loves, etc).
3. The artists email me their completed surveys.
4. I shop on the Internet for the items listed on the completed surveys...on ebay etc.
5. I do not buy the items - instead, I save photos of the objects from my Internet shopping spree.
6. I email these photos to the gallery and they print them on a color printer...and cut out the objects in the pictures.
7. I make a detailed map of how the photos are to be arranged in the baskets, and email it to the gallery with the photos.
8. Someone at the gallery tapes the pictures into the basket with gorilla tape, or some equally extra strong tape.
9. The Baskets are to be displayed next to the work of the artist who filled out the survey (either on the floor or on a shelf).
10. If a gift basket sells, the money will go to the artist who it was for, not to me, - hence, a gift for a gifted.
